The Gem City Throwbacks is one of the premier amateur baseball organizations in the Midwest.  The Gem City Throwbacks organization was established in 2006 and is based out of Dayton, OH.  Our goal is to develop players for the high school and college level while keeping costs to families at a minimum.

 

 

The Gem City Throwbacks were established in 2006 by a group of parents who wanted to take their boys baseball skills to the next level while also getting back to the basic fundamentals and principles of the game. Author George Castle describes our fundamental philosophy best in his book, Throwbacks:

"Old-School Baseball Players who play the game the same way our parents and grandparents watched it played. It's an ode to those who play hurt, who play smart, who go all out, who get blood and sweat and dirt on their uniforms and still treat their teammates and fans-and the game-with respect. You don't have to be a star to be "old-school"; you just know how to play the game right."

With this basic principle in mind, the Gem City Throwbacks were formed. We have a select group of boys who we feel adhere to this "Old-School" philosophy. We are based out of Dayton, OH comprised of kids who live throughout the Dayton Metro area.
